Before I continue with the puppies individual introduction I managed to take some videos of them as a group. Enjoy.

Introducing Max

Friday, January 8th, 2010

I am trying a new approach to showing off the puppies. I choose Max as my Ginny Pig. Some improvements that I intend to make are,  improving the lighting, improving the sound volume, and most importantly either getting the pups used to the location before filming or moving them to a location where they are more comfortable. Although Max does come in the house he has never been in my office let alone on my glass top desk so he looks more timid then he is but, any puppy put in this situation would look  the same. The next one should be better.

I have been pretty busy lately so I missed posting last week. As each pup goes they take a little of me with them so I spend as much time as I can with them while they are here. They have been very good about staying out of the pond and have learned to use the dog door to go in and out of the yard. They are getting pretty good at using the dog bridge to cross the creek but do occasionally slip off into the water, especially when two of them meet going in opposite directions, it is a very narrow bridge.  I have to watch them extra close now that the pond is starting to freeze over.  Nothing completes my day more than watching puppies play.

I gave the pups their second worming last night. I have not noticed any problems but better safe than sorry. I started training them a couple of days ago. I have not had time to update all of their profiles on last weeks post because of computer issues but will continue to do so.  I was hoping more breeders would have picked up some of these pups because of the importance to this bloodline to our future but that does not seem to be the case and since I will not be keeping any of them I will be getting more aggressive marketing them to the general public. If there are any ISSR breeders out there that are interested speak up now. I am very pleased with this litter and if I were going to breed Sadie again I would repeat this breeding but since I will not be breeding her again this will be your last chance to get one of the the most flexible bloodlines available.  I would hate to see all of these breed quality pups fixed.

Week 8

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I am a little slow getting the update done this week. As a result of the LER I want to post the pups results along with the pictures, therefor I will post a few at a time so stay tuned until I can get them done. I have a number of people interested in the pups and that takes first priority.  Someone ask me about side shots but it is difficult to get a pup to cooperate without help so you will have to excuses a few of these, especially Mickey because the only way I could get him to stand stilll long enough was to catch him when he was otherwise occupied.

Molly – Medium Temperament – . From a working standpoint Molly is my pick of the females. Molly and Mickey are two of a kind.  She has a tight smooth coat and her ears were up early but have since gone down. She has a lot of her mother in her, but unlike her mother she is very people oriented. She is not very submissive but forgives quickly. She does not have a high pain tolerance so she should be easily trained with mild corrections when needed. If your not careful she will take charge. She did go after the toy and investigated it but that was as far as it went, same with the tug, as long as it was moving she was interested but lost interest once it stopped. She does not seem to be afraid of anything and is Gun sure. She will have to be taught to slow down and think things out because she will be more likely to take the quickest and easiest way out of a situation. Since she is very people oriented teaching her to slow down should be an easy task because you can easily get her attention back to you and start her thought process again.

Molly 13.8lbs
Mickey – I rated Mickey as Med which makes him the hardest puppy in the litter.  He loves people, he does not like being forced to do what he doesn’t want to do but is very forgiving.  He does not have a very high pain tolerance so any corrections required should be mild.  He is Gun sure and very curious, he will investigate anything that catches him off guard.  He has a strong pray drive as long as the object is moving. Once it stops he looses interest and moves on to something else.  Mickey 15lbs

It’s now week 7 and we will be having the LER this weekend. I wormed the pups right after I took their pictures and weighed them in this evening. They are growing so fast it’s hard to believe that they are almost old enough to go to loving homes. I still have room on this litter so please let me know if you have any interest in them.  Most of the boys are still available as well as a female.
